The past weekend lead us to yet another adventure on our beautiful south coast, Huskisson. When Huskisson Beach Tourist Resort invited us to stay, we were over the moon, one of our favourite beaches on the southern stretch of coast. The white sands, the calm blue waters, perfect sunrises and sunsets that paint the sky, the wildlife and the endless lines of untouched waves are just a few of the things that make Huskisson such a special place for us.
When we arrived at Huskisson Beach Tourist Resort, the friendly staff gave us some helpful tips on the nearby Booderee National Park and then lead us to our Deluxe Bayview Cabin. We took the time to soak up our view with a pot of tea on our deck overlooking Huskisson Beach and then made our way to the sand just steps away.
Autumn is the perfect time of year, hot sunny days and warm water. Spending some time bathing in the 25 degree waters of Huskisson Beach, it was hard to get ourselves out. Salt feels good! We knew it was time we explored some more of the area so we made our way to the famous Hyams Beach. We couldn’t have asked for better weather, the sun was shining and there wasn’t a ripple on the water. It looked like a scene out of paradise as we dived through the clear waters of the worlds whitest sand beach. Something we are so passionate about is keeping our beaches clean, and this one ticks all the boxes. How lucky it felt to have all of this beauty right on our doorstep for the next few days.
After an afternoon of sun and salt, we headed back to our cabin. We cooked some good food while reflecting on our day. We had natures soundtrack of birds and gentle waves behind us, serenity. As the day was closing in and the sun was slowly setting, we watched the sky turn pink right in front of us. We thought the perfect day was coming to an end, until the moon lit up the ocean and the sky turned to diamonds as the stars came out above us. We closed our eyes, excited for what the next day would bring us.
The next morning the sun greeted us on the deck of our cabin and so did two friendly kookaburras. Its fun sharing coffee with the locals. After a morning cook up on our BBQ we then headed to Booderee National Park. This is a place we have visited many times but each time we have a different experience and thats something we really love about it. Constantly changing and constantly beautiful.
Firstly, we checked out the surf at Cave Beach. We stood on the hill looking along the entire stretch of coast and saw line after line after line. After spending the morning bushwalking, surfing and admiring the views of Cave Beach we took the time to explore the area of Murrays Beach, with views of point perpendicular and more white sand. You could spend days exploring this national park.
We feel so lucky to have stayed at Huskisson Beach Tourist Park. Everything you need is right on your doorstep, the views are endless and the staff are friendly. We couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks to the team at Huskisson Beach Tourist Park and Holiday Haven for a great stay. The best place to stay in the area!
