Denham – Coral Bay
Travelling in a Mighty Highball Camper
Approx 5.5 hours
Coral Bay was one of our favourite stops on Australia’s Coral Coast. It is the beginning of the beautiful Ningaloo Reef. We loved exploring the sand dunes and the awesome snorkelling right on our doorstep.
Heres our top picks for Coral Bay
Bills Bay and Purdy Point
We spent some of our time exploring the reefs of Bills Bay and Purdy Point. We swam out to the left towards the drop off and let the drift bring us back into the bay while exploring the beautiful Ningaloo Reef.
Sand Dunes Walk
From main beach we took a peaceful walk along the water to the right which lead us to some huge sand dunes. We climbed the dunes and soaked up the panoramic views over Coral Bay.
We took a Quad Trek tour to explore some untouched parts of Coral Bay, only accessible via 4WD. We headed an hour south to Turtle Cliffs where there were some epic views. This was an incredible way to see more of what Coral Bay has to offer.
Where to catch the sunset
We pulled our camper up at main beach and enjoyed the warm sunset views with a cold beer.
Where to camp
Peoples Park Coral Bay – beautiful grounds set right on the beach.
